Westshield was one of the earliest members of Constructionline, the UK’s leading register of prequalified constructors, engineers and contractors. This means they have already demonstrated an ability to fulfill pre-qualified tender requirements supported by the DTI.
Westshield has been awarded its eighth consecutive Gold standard RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award.
The awards are amongst the most respected in the industry and recognise a company's continued commitment to protecting the welfare of it's workforce, the environment and the communities in which it operates, as well as upholding a high standard of Quality Management procedures.
The awards are non competitive and are graded at Bronze, Silver and Gold level according to standards set and implementation.
"We have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure that health, safety, quality and the environment remain an important consideration of every job we do, every day," said Westshield Director, Gerard Waldron, "In our industry there is no room for complacency or error. It's not just about reducing incidents it's about removing risk; running tried and tested systems and procedures that all employees and subcontractors respect and adopt.
"From a commercial point of view, our clients are also setting stringent standards, therefore best practice makes good business sense," Gerard added.
