Highways

We have been completing Highways projects for clients since our inception back in 1977. Our experience in this area is unrivalled.

As a result, many of our original clients are still calling on our expertise today.

Working closely with the Infrastructure Division, the Highways team focuses on the new build, refurbishment and reconstruction of carriageways and footpaths, including Section 278 works, for local authorities and private infrastructure providers.These works include:

  • Maintenance and minor works contracts
  • Traffic management schemes i.e. local safety and environment traffic calming scheme, traffic signaling ducting, parking bays, junction improvements, tarmacing etc
  • Car parks
  • Pedestrian schemes i.e. walkways, footpaths etc
  • Environmental and streetscape improvements and upgrades/li>
  • Hard and soft landscaping, feature areas and amenity styling – new and regeneration
  • Quality bus corridors, shelter erection and bus stop improvements
  • Transport interchanges, turnarounds and station redevelopment
  • Concrete hard standings
  • The preparation of infrastructure ready for partner contractors to complete works

Westshield Secures 8th Gold Standard RoSPA Award

Westshield has been awarded its eighth consecutive Gold standard RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award.

The awards are amongst the most respected in the industry and recognise a company's continued commitment to protecting the welfare of it's workforce, the environment and the communities in which it operates, as well as upholding a high standard of Quality Management procedures.

The awards are non competitive and are graded at Bronze, Silver and Gold level according to standards set and implementation.
